    Let’s Have Coffee | Vol. 10

I can’t believe I’ve been doing this linkup for 10 months! It’s my favorite linkup of the month that’s for sure! Let’s catch up this month over some coffee. 🙂

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I just love K cups and specifically the Starbucks Veranda blend ones. I had to take a bit of a break from coffee for the past few weeks and had my first real cup today and absolutely loved it. I also loved what it did for my energy levels as well, haha!

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that ever since being back at home I have really missed going to our old church. I’m not positive if I mentioned it here (although I think I have) but my husband and I switched churches in the beginning of the year. It’s been a long drive to that church and ever since moving back home, I have really missed our old church. We decided to go back this past Sunday and aren’t sure yet about if we are permanently switching back but I’m thinking we might end up doing so.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you how you are loving this weather. That is if you live anywhere near me. Here in New Jersey it has been in the 90’s (!) the past few days. I don’t hate it or love it to be honest but I’ll definitely take it over being cold that’s for sure!

If we were having coffee, I’d let you know that I have been really slacking on my time with Jesus lately and it’s been really frustrating. I just cannot seem to find the motivation or energy to really sit down and have really good quality time with Him like I know I need. I actually carved out some time today and it was absolutely amazing. I really want to get back into my habit of drinking my coffee and reading my bible and journaling in the morning. I definitely need it.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask what you’ve been up to lately. I’d really love to know so leave me a comment below! My husband and I have been going a bit stir crazy after moving into my mom’s house for a couple of months so we’ve been trying to get out on the weekends this month. It’s totally been working and this month feels so much better than last. We’ve taken a trip up to Lake George one weekend and two beach trips already! I’m super excited for more!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m super excited about the vacation that we just booked last night. We are going to Wildwood (a NJ beach) in August for 5 nights and I can hardly wait! My husband and I absolutely love the beach and haven’t been on a vacation just the two of us since our honeymoon so it should be loads of fun!

I must confess I didn’t think I had much to update you guys on and almost skipped out on this linkup again. I am so glad I didn’t! What else is new with you guys?! Today I’m linking up with Erin for our monthly coffee dates. Come join us!

    Let’s Have Coffee | Vol. 9

It’s time for my favorite linkup of the month… our coffee date! This month has been filled with TONS of changes and has felt super long. Let’s jump right in.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my husband and I have successfully moved out of our first apartment. It was hard and sad to say goodbye but definitely necessary. I was upset for the first week but have since gotten some closure and know it was the best decision for us.

If we were having coffee, I would let you know that after moving into a tiny room in my mom’s house after living on my own with my husband has definitely been an adjustment. Some days I feel so couped up. It can be a good thing though because it pushed my husband and I (the biggest homebodies) out of the house for a little bit.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am going to be working furiously on getting my Etsy shop ready to launch before July. No promises but I am getting so antsy and really can’t wait to launch. I feel like I’ve been planning for it forEVER.

If we were having coffee, I would say that I am super excited for the weather to start being consistently warmer. I cannot wait to start hiking again. It’s been too long. I’m planning on going on as many hikes this summer and fall as possible.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that the Bible Study a group of girls and I are doing on my blog is so refreshing to my walk with God. We are going through Finding I Am: How Jesus Fully Satisfies and I am loving it so much so far. I can’t wait to share more and learn what everyone else is learning on Wednesday for our linkup.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my brother bought about $200 worth of gardening supplies and is planting the largest garden in our yard. He has everything from apples to lettuce and I am so excited for everything to start growing. YUM.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that coffee just hasn’t been hitting the spot like it usually does and it is so sad. I usually love coffee so much. Do you have any other suggestions of some yummy hot drinks?

Enough about me. What have you been up to this month? I’d love to know! Today I am linking up with Erin Salmon, where we have coffee every second Monday of every month. Come join in with us, we’d love to have you!

    Let’s Have Coffee | Vol. 8

Hey friends, it feels so good to be back blogging today. It hasn’t even been that long and I already have missed it. Although the break and being on vacation has been nice of course! I was debating on writing a blog post this week or not because I kind of wanted to take the week off and just relax but then I realized that I love writing and pretending I’m on a coffee date with all of my blogging friends. So here I am, in the middle of vacation having a coffee date with you. 🙂 I also have a guest post on Thursday so be on the lookout for that. I’m really excited about it!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I am really enjoying the aspect of being on vacation and not having to worry about cooking and cleaning. This is the first time I have been on a long vacation since being married and moving out and let me tell you, not having to worry about those things is a luxury in itself. 🙂

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you liked beach vacations or if you preferred to take a trip to a city or maybe the lake? My husband and I are definitely beach people, but I’m learning that it’s really fun to break from the mold as well. This week we went boating with manatees and it was so much fun. I can’t wait to share all about it.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that this month (when I come back from vacation) is going to be hard. We are most likely moving out of our apartment this month and I am not looking forward to it. I really love our little apartment and we have already made so many memories there and I don’t want to say goodbye.

If were having coffee, I’d say how nice it is to have a break in everyday life to spend time with family. I’m really loving being in Florida with a lot of my family and am having such a great time. Being on vacation and being so far from home makes me also excited to go back to regular life too because I realize how much I really appreciate it.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I am hosting Easter at my apartment this year! It’s only a few people coming but I’ve never hosted a holiday before and I’m really excited about it. Do you usually host holidays? Do you love it or would you prefer to go to someone else’s house to celebrate?

If we were having coffee, I’d just thank you for spending time with me. There’s nothing sweeter than having a friend to sit down with and really talk about how you are doing with (even if that is over the computer).

Today I am linking up with Erin Salmon, where we have coffee every second Monday (or Tuesday) of every month. Come join in with us, we’d love to have you!

    Let’s Have Coffee | Vol. 7

Hi friends! I missed you yesterday! I think I’m going to write more in-depth about what I’ve been going through but the short version just in case you were wondering where I was, is that I basically just needed a day off. I have been feeling super anxious the past couple of weeks and have been really trying to trust God in the midst of it, which meant facing one of my biggest fears (more on that later). But I’m back today and so thankful because God showed up in a huge way and took away my anxieties! I missed our coffee date yesterday so I decided to have it today instead (because I just love coffee dates!). 🙂

If we were having coffee, I would ask you how you are liking the snow! Here in the northeast, we are currently in the middle of a blizzard and it’s so bittersweet. I’m happy to have my husband home for the day, but so sad that it’s SNOWING. Spring is supposed to start next week!

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you what your favorite coffee is lately (if you drink it). Or your favorite tea. I’m learning that I don’t love to keep drinking one type. Switching it up every so often really makes it taste soo much better. I’m currently drinking Chock Full O’Nuts K-Cups (affiliate) and it is just delicious!

If we were having coffee, I would express that I’m just so thankful for the community of women who I’ve met through blogging. I used to always read other people’s blogs about how much they loved the blogging community and I’m only finally just starting to make friends and really meet people and it’s been so fun. Thank you for reading along and being so encouraging. I’m so grateful for you!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m becoming more and more confident with my decision to quit my corporate job and be a stay-at-home wife/full-time blogger. It’s been a very rocky road, filled with awesome joys and confusing anxieties, but over the course of a few months I’m really getting settled in to this lifestyle and it really is a dream come true. I’d also ask what is your biggest dream that just feels too impossible to actually happen? That’s how this felt to me so I’d love to talk with you about what yours is.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you if you saw The Shack in theaters and ask what your thoughts were on it. My husband and I saw it last weekend and we absolutely loved it. I had read the book before, which actually was the beginning of my commitment to God, and it changed everything for me. If you’re struggling with trusting that God is good right now, go see it for sure! They did a great job on the movie and it is very similar to the book.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that my husband and I and my extended family are taking a trip down to Florida next month and are driving from New Jersey! I’d ask if you have any road tripping tips and if you have any summer travel plans planned yet. I’d love to hear and chat about where you’re planning on going this summer/spring! I love to talk vacation plans.

    Let’s Have Coffee | Vol. 6

If we were having coffee, I would probably invite you over to my little apartment and brew some pour over coffee for you. It is my new favorite and I want to share all of the deliciousness with you, that is if you like coffee of course. (If not I would offer you some tea because I have lots of that too!)

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that since our coffee date a few months ago where I shared how I thought this winter was going to be a tough one, I would say that it has been, but in ways that I hadn’t expected it to be. Isn’t that always how life is though?

If we were having coffee, I would also say that I think spring is right around the corner and I just can’t wait to get outside and enjoy the warmth again. Ever since quitting my job to work from home, it has been tough to not really leave the house regularly. I’m thinking that once it gets warmer and I can go for walks or hikes that will help a bunch.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you what’s going on in your life. How has the winter been? What’s new in your life?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I just got my order of essential oils on Friday and am already in love with them. I’m still definitely in the process of learning all the different ways to use them but I find them so fascinating. Have you heard of essential oils? Do you use them? I’d love to hear how if you do.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that my husband and I just tried yoga for the first time yesterday. We did a 35 minute video off of YouTube and it was so much fun and so therapeutic. I feel like it’s the perfect way to workout for me. It isn’t too hard and it really makes you feel good afterwards, especially for me since I’m home not moving around most of the day so it really loosens up my muscles and feels great. If you have a desk job I would highly suggest you try it. My husband and I are doing a 30 day challenge. You can check it out here if you’re interested.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you how you build real intentional community, whether that be online or offline. I am really struggling with getting really connected with other Christians and am also really shy so I am really struggling to put myself out there. My husband and I just switched churches to attend a smaller one in hopes that it will be easier to get really connected. I would love to hear how you build connections though because I need all the tips.

If we were having coffee, I would just say thank you for spending time with me. I really needed a friend to just listen and be there for me. I can’t wait for next time!

    Let’s Have Coffee || Vol. 5

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m excited for 2017. 2016 was a somewhat tough year but it was the year I became a wife so I will always look back on it with thanksgiving. All that to say though that I am excited for my first full year as a wife, and just a change of pace as the new year begins.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I am working through the devotional Wife After God and am loving it. I think it’s such a great start to the beginning of the first full year of being a wife. What books have you read that were really helpful for your marriage?

If we were having coffee, I’d say that since I quit my job my life feels all out of sorts. I never in a million years would have guessed that God would do something this crazy and flip my world upside down in the best way, but I am learning to embrace the change and cling to God and see where exactly He may be leading me.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you how you find the time to do house work and work full time (if you are a wife and full time worker that is). When I was working full time I always always felt like I was behind on everything. While there was enough time to technically get everything done, there wasn’t enough time to do it all and enjoy it. I wonder if anyone else has that feeling also or if that was just me? Something tells me that that is not how God intends for us to live though.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I got the Simplified Planner by Emily Ley this year for Christmas and I absolutely adore it. I could never stay motivated when I tried to use a planner in the past, but there is just something about this planner that I just love. It’s just so well designed and I just love the encouraging quotes on each page. Do you use a planner? If so, which one?

If we were having coffee, I’d maybe just possibly let you in on a possible dream that I think God may be growing in my heart. I already have known forever that I wanted to work from home, but never thought it a real possibility. But now that I am home I have come across so many people who have made it work so I wonder if it is actually a possibility for me. I wouldn’t know if I should talk about it because it feels too good to be real, but if I’m feeling brave enough I might let you in on that little secret. 😉

If we were having coffee, I’d of course want to know how you are really doing. I’d want to hear your heart and if this new year has been a breathe of fresh air to you. I’d ask how your relationship with Jesus is, and let you in on the fact that I have been spending so much more time with Him than I think I ever have. Having so much free time has opened the door to me being able to spend as much time as I can reading my bible and it has changed my outlook on life, and something tells me this is only the beginning.

Today I’m linking up with Erin from Erin Salmon Writes. Come join us!
